On Being Awake - It's no picnic

A friend sent me this - the words are simply perfect.. not my own words but they could very well have been!!

I am putting them here as I know they will help some of my friends. This journey is tiring and exhausting and we need to acknowledge our GRIEF.

To all my ‘conspiracy theorist’ friends out there who know that’s really going on and needs to hear this… Yes sometimes it’s a curse and not always a blessing to be awake.

Awakening is the most liberating, alienating, excruciating, empowering, lonely, confusing, freeing, frightening, expansive journey.

If you find yourself struggling as you try to process all this insanity, you are not alone.

No one talks about the darkness that accompanies awakening, or the GRIEF. Not only grieving the life and illusions you once had, but the realisation that almost everything you thought you once knew, is a LIE. The beliefs you’ve held, people you’ve trusted, principles you were taught – ALL LIES.

Shattering illusions is RARELY an enjoyable experience. There is a considerable amount of discomfort that comes with growth and the grieving process doesn’t stop there.

With these newfound realisations, you then find yourself grieving all over again. Grieving for our children, knowing all too well the broken world they are inheriting. Grieving the loss of many relationships with people who ‘just don’t get it’.

Feeling alone; being ridiculed and shamed, not only by the masses, but for many of you, your very own family and friends too.

Feeling like you no longer have much in common with the people you are surrounded by. Struggling with carrying on bullshit, shallow conversations that lack substance with those who are still fast asleep.

Even feeling disconnected from your entire support system because they can’t see what you see. Some even grieve the loss of their ignorance because ‘ignorance is bliss’ and reality is harsh.

Awakening can be lonely road and you will often find yourself journeying alone. There is no way to sugar coat it, awakening to the realities of this world is brutal. It will have you running the entire gamut of human emotions.

You have to master the art of diving down the darkest of rabbit holes only to come out and still function in daily life, and that’s a skill people don’t talk about enough.

Some of you are struggling with feeling disconnected from family and friends, it’s as though they exist in another world.

Please know you are not alone, and not only are you not alone, you have an entire tribe standing with you. We may be separated by miles, but we are DEEPLY connected: in purpose and spirit.

Square peg - round hole

Thanks in advance for having a read I realise I am risking plenty of friends by saying what I am about to say… but it has been burning inside me and so I had to get it out. It is what in my good conscience I feel I must say.  I respect your point of view and have listened to it and had it talked at me by plenty. Your body, your choice. I have a story to tell too, and if it helps even one person, it was worth me writing it.  I’ve seen a lot of posts celebrating going out and getting v*ccin*ted, being part of the team of 5 million, taking your kids. Like it’s a party and everyone is invited, and no one wants to get FOMO. I’ve even seen those Facebook reposts that kick off with “I’m getting v*ccin*ted, and no, I don’t know what’s in it – neither this v*ccin*, the ones I had as a child, nor in the big Mac or in hot dogs…. Etc”.  It’s cool that you feel like you’re doing your part. But I guess, since everyone is being vocal about it, it means I can have a voice too. But my voi...

Elephant in the room

Which numbers really count? I'm a gonna crunch a few numbers. Bare with me. Our Govt 'C0v1d' data says that today there are blah blah (over 1000) positive cases. Let's cut to the important... how many are in ICU? 13.  13 ICU cases in NZ. (They can't even lie or magic up a more impressive number!!) Which led me to look into how many hospitals there are in NZ. According to MOH website there is 86.  86 hospitals in NZ, and 13 people in ICU with 'c0vid'. So, if we balanced it out, that's less than 1/4 of a person per hospital. Are we in a Pandemic?  No. Where we ever? No. The NZ C0v1d website slides over these kinds of facts and instead fills up on all sorts of BIG numbers (positive cases, number of RAT tests in NZ blah blah). Most people are so far into fear I am sure their eyes glaze over and no critical thinking happens, no self-investigative research. Shame on you, Ministry of Education The reason I went to check this out is, because on the Ministry of...

H.O.T. - Hikoi Of Truth - one wahine's short journey

OCTOBER 26th-27th 2021 Last night a Hikoi Of Truth (HOT) traveled from Rotorua (and many from much farther) – destination Waitangi. Five vehicles that I know of represented my part of the Waikato region. I am sure there were many others. We met up with the Hikoi at Huntly and proceeded in powerful single file north. At the Mercer ‘border’ many (unsure if all) were diverted down a slip road by way of traffic trucks totally blocking the road north (and more had to stop on the motorway). In hindsight perhaps a critical error was made by the lead vehicles when they allowed the diversion… perhaps if they just parked up on SH1, today we’d be telling a different story about our southern travellers. Reports said kaumātua went through and were stopped further north at Bombay (at the time of writing all reports are unverified, just what we were told among the Mercer group we were with). Also other kaumātua were apparently given safe passage earlier in the day. Hurrah! Two of our carloads decided...
